FlaxFlax (Organic) - Flax seeds are high in lignans and Omega-3 fatty acids.  Lignans may benefit the heart, possess anti-cancer properties and studies performed on mice found reduced growth in specific types of tumors.  Flax may also lower bad cholesterol levels, especially in women.  Flax has also been used to treat breast and prostate cancer.  Flax has been used as a laxative and to treat diabetes by stabilizing blood sugar.
Ground flax should be kept in air tight containers and refrigerated to prevent the oil from turning rancid.   If you are noticing a burning sensation as you are eating this cereal it is probably a result of rancid oil from the flax or the Brown rice flour or both.  Please tell your Health food provider or grocer to store "Good Morning Cereal" in the refrigerated section.
